The Glaz Bar’s record of showcasing internationally-renowned singers and musicians has just gone into overdrive.

Next up: The Jerry Byrd Quartet led by the man whose credits appear alongside the luminary likes of Freddy Cole, Roland Kirk and Dizzy Gillespie, to name but three. Playing a treasured Gibson gifted him by close friend George Benson, Byrd lays down tracks by a raft of jazz greats all the time reinterpreting and improvising for modern ears.

With top Thai swingers Samlee Satitporn on drums, Tae Siriwat on double bass and Gong Pattawee on keyboards, Byrd plays the schmoozy and sophisticated streetside bar every Thursday night from 8pm to 11.45pm. Early arrivals are recommended to bag your seat.
